BENALMADENA PUEBLO

Pueblo on Benalmádenan vanha kaupunginosa. Siellä on paljon ihania valkoisia taloja ja kauniita puutarhoja. Pueblo sijaitsee 200 m merenpinnan yläpuolella, joten sieltä on upeat näkymät rannikolle. Pueblossa kävimme muutamaan otteeseen loman aikana, koska siellä oli ihana kävellä, käydä jäätelöllä tai syömässä.


Pueblo is an old village in Benalmadena. There you can find white-fronted buildings and so many beautiful gardens full of pink flowers. In Pueblo is also an old church. It sits on the edge of the hill and affords fantastic views over the coastline, as this town sits about 200m above mean sea level. I loved this place so much with it's  beautiful alleys,  flowers,  pretty houses and little restaurants.

BENALMADENA

Moikka kaikille! Olin siis jonkin aikaa sitten lomalla Espanjassa ja ajattelin tehdä matkastani muutaman postauksen :). Olimme pari viikkoa aurinkorannikolla Benalmadena nimisessä kaupungissa. Parin viikon aikana kiertelimme hieman eri paikoissa ja nähtävyyksissä. 

Hi! I was in Spain this summer and I decided to do couple of blogposts of this trip. We stayed two weeks in a small town called Benalmadena. :) We also drove around the coast in different places.

We visited Marbella couple of times because it was so near to us and there is so much to do like shopping, playing tennis, swimming... In Marbella is also a harbor called Puerto Banus which is definitely worth seeing. 💙

Oh, I love these cozy streets in Fuengirola! If I lived in costa del sol, I would definitely live here. Anyway, this is what I looked like some days ago! You don’t see my natural curly hair that often. Haha. 

The sandals are new, I needed a comfy pair to walk around in. We’ve almost walked around whole Fuengirola, we walk so much every day. But it’s fun because that’s how you see the city! :-)

DAY VISIT TO CORDOBA

Lauantai aamuna herätys oli 05.30. Supernopean suihkun ja aamupalan (eväiden pakkauksen) jälkeen lähdimme ajamaan autolla kohti Cordobaa. Sinne oli Fuengirolasta noin kahden tunnin ajomatka ja menomatka sujuikin mukavasti, koska kuumuus ei haitannut. Espanjassa aurinko nousee vasta seitsemän aikoihin (toisin kuin Suomessa kello neljältä), joten näimme myös upean auringon nousun.

Halusimme mennä erityisesti katsomaan Cordoban moskeijaa, Mezquita-Catedral de Cordoba. Saavuimme moskeijalle kahdeksan aikoihin ja kiertelimme siellä muutaman tunnin. Sen jälkeen suuntasimme kahville, koska aikaisen herätyksen takia monet olivat kahvin tarpeessa. Tauon jälkeen kävimme katsomassa linnoitusta, Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos, sekä kiertelimme vanhassa kaupungissa. Cordoba on aivan ihana kaupunki, se on täynnä vanhoja historiallisia rakennuksia sekä sen vanha kaupunginosa on aivan omaa luokkaansa. Ainut huono puoli oli se, että siellä oli 39 astetta lämmintä, joka oli kyllä jo aivan liikaa! Rakastan lämmintä säätä, mutta kaikella on rajansa. Iltapäivällä lähdimme ajelemaan takaisin. Pysähdyimme matkalla Malagaan kiertelemään kaupoissa. Ulkomailla vaatevalikoimat ovat yleensä paljon suuremmat kuin Suomessa, joten löysin paljon ihania vaatteita!:)

On Saturday 5.30 am we woke up and after a quick breakfast and shower we left to Cordoba. The car ride was about two hours long and it was nice because there wasn't too hot. In Spain the sunrise is around 7 am (not like in Finland 4 am) so we saw a beautiful sunrise as well.

We especially wanted to see the Mezquita-Catedral de Cordoba. So we arrived to the mezquita about 8 am and we spend there couple of hours. After that we all needed a coffee break because of the early wake up. After the break we went to see the alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos and walked around the old town. Cordoba is so lovely city. It is full of history and the old town was amazing. But there was 39 Celsius and that was way too hot for me! In the afternoon we left back to Fuengirola. On the way back we stopped in Malaga for couple of hours and I found loads of clothes there. hehe!:)
