TIME FOR COCKTAILS

Eilen suuntasimme Emilian kanssa keskustaan ilman mitään sen kummempia suunnitelmia. Päädyimme testaamaan Jätkäsaaressa sijaitsevan melko uuden hotelli Clarionin Skybaria. Sky Room sijaitsee hotellin 16. kerroksessa ja sieltä aukeaa upea näkymä Helsingin yli. Tilasimme molemmat cocktailit ja nautimme niitä samalla kun ihailimme näköalaa ja auringonlaskua. Oli kyllä täydellinen kesäilta!

CÔTE D'AZUR

Iltakävelyitä kauniissa vanhassa kaupungissa ja rannalla jäi kaipaamaan Nizzasta. Sää oli koko matkan niin lämmin, ettei edes illalla tarvinnut takkia. 

Vanha kaupunki on täynnä ihania värikkäitä taloja ja kapeita kujia. Kävelin minulle tyypillisesti koko ajan kamera kädessä, ja erityisesti vanhassa kaupungissa kuvia olisi voinut ottaa joka nurkalla. 

Nämä kuvat on otettu reissumme ensimmäisen iltana, kun lähdimme kävellen tutkimaan kaupunkia. Satuimme rannalle täydelliseen aikaan juuri ennen auringonlaskua. 

Evening strolls in the old town and on the beach are something I miss from Nice. It was so warm that we didn't need a coat even in the evening.

 The old town, Vieille Ville, is full of colourful houses and narrow alleys. I had my camera with me       wherever we went and especially in the old town I could have stopped at every corner to take pictures. 

These pics are taken in the first evening of our trip when we went to explore the city. We ended up on the beach at perfect timing, just before the sunset.

SUNSET WATCHING

Watching the sunset is one of our favourite things to do in the summer. Last weekend we decided to drive to the sea to watch the sunset for the first time this year. It was beautiful as always – and of course we took some pictures of it, too.

FIRST OF OCTOBER

It's always so nice and relaxing to go to see the sunset. The nights are getting colder and colder and we were freezing but it was definitely worth it. 

The matriculation exams are finally over and we have time to do something else than studying, even though we still have few exams next week...

MAGICAL MOMENT

"There are magical moments in every day. We just have to take the time to see them!"

On Sunday night we came up with the idea to go to a lake near us to see the sunset. At that moment we had only 15 minutes time to drive there before the sun would go down. Luckily we got there just in time to see how the sky was turning red, pink and orange, making the whole scenery look like a painting.

WHEN THE SUN GOES DOWN...

It was that kind of evening when you don't expect to see sunset at all. It was all cloudy but then a couple of minutes before the sunset, the sky changed from gray to incredibly pink. It turned out to be the most beautiful sunset we have seen this year.
