Kesä on aina ollut lempivuodenaikani, mutta täytyy myöntää, ettei syksyssäkään useimmiten mitään vikaa ole. Kesän jälkeen on ihana kaivaa villapaidat, neuleet ja huivit kaapista ja nauttia puiden väriloistosta auringon paistaessa. Paitsi että syksyyn kuuluu Suomessa myös harmillisen usein harmaa sadesää, jolloin tuulee niin, että sateenvarjostakaan ei ole hyötyä. Tuntuu, että päivätkin ovat yhtäkkiä lyhentyneet ja aamuisin pimeys vaikeuttaa kouluun heräämistä. Syksyssä on kuitenkin myös erityinen tunnelma, jota ei keskikesän valoisuudessa pääse kokemaan. Kynttilät luovat tunnelmaa ja sadesäällä voi hyvällä omatunnolla viettää aikaa sisällä. Ehkä näin koeviikolla on parempikin, että sää on huonompi niin maltan pysyä sisällä lukemassa...
Joskus syyskuinen sää on kuitenkin juuri sellainen kuin toivoisinkin, niin kuin näiden kuvien ottamisen aikaan. Auringon laskiessa maisema värjäytyi kullansävyiseksi ja ilmassa tuntui ihana syyskuun kirpeys.
Summer has always been my favorite season but I have to admit that autumn isn't that bad after all. It's nice to wear some warmer clothes after summer and enjoy all the fall colors when the sun is shining. Except that fall isn't always like that... Especially in Finland the weather is too often dark and rainy, not to forget the wind that makes it hard not to get wet even with an umbrella. Days also get shorter and shorter every day so it's harder to get up early in the morning.
Autumn has its special feeling, though, that you can't feel in the summer. It's time for candles again and it's completely accepted to spend the whole day inside watching a movie when it's raining outside. Maybe its even better that the weather isn't so good when I have to study for exams and stay inside...
Sometimes the weather is however just like I'd hope it to be, like when we took these photos. The sunset made everything golden and you could feel the autumn in the cold air.
